A student from Austrailia talks about his meeting with a master:

"He placed his fingers on the top of the head and I started to feel the current passing into me. Then it got much, much stronger. A very clear white light, sort of like the flash of a camera, starting flashing in my mind. Then he sent a steady current into the arms and a number of other points down the front of the chest and down the back. Sometimes it made my arms start moving uncontrollably, or made my head jerk towards my shoulder. I remember at one point he slid his hand down part of my back and I could feel the current passing into me from each one of his fingertips.

The next day was very much the same, except he also passed chi into the mid eyebrow point and the temples. That was awesome. It felt like the strongest current he passed into me was when he touched between the eyebrows. And when it happened, it made me see a powerful white light shining where he was touching, permeating through my mind and expanding.

After the empowerment we were told to sit down in front of his shrine and meditate. Then he gave a us a blessing and flicked some kind of liquid on our faces that burned. For the next two or three days I remember feeling "tingly" all over, especially in my hands, feet and the top of my head. The feeling just wouldn't go away.

It was an incredible experience and it was very nice of him to do this for us. Before we went there I remember David told us the master may or may not give empowerments, or he might give it some some of us but not others. So it was wonderful that everybody had the chance to experience his yin-yang gong, not only because it removed any doubt we may have had but also because it helps with the training."

“Scene: at an obscure hotel in Huangshan, Anhui, China.  October 2007. We had gathered together and watched as David Verdesi was tested for Yin Yang Gong, the ability to emit an electrical current from his body. He wasn’t successful at first, but after a couple of attempts, he was able to do it on 11 people. Yin Yang Gong is considered the 4th level in the tradition of the Lei Shan Dao/Thunder Path. It consists of mating the yin and yang in the dan tian. No other westerner has been able to do it, as far as is known.  It was a very touching, and dramatic, moment for David, perhaps the crowning achievement at this point in his more than 15 -year search that started when he was a young teenager. Seeing David succeed in passing Yin Yang Gong, the past flashed in front of me: I recalled times he and I spent together over the years, his search for the authentic masters, the focus he committed to his journey, the obstacles he had to encounter and overcome, the heartbreak of rejection, the cruelty of skeptics, the loyal support he received from his friends and students.

“Once, on a later trip, when Yan Ping, (Number 1 daughter) accompanied us, Shi Gong put on a special display. She is one of his favorites. Sifu and two of Shi Gong's other students teamed up with the Grandmaster to demonstrate that the "electric chair", around which swirled so much controversy in Bangkok, was not an essential feature of his power, and that given the circmstances, his celestial power would come out and with surprising force. We sat on cushions, on small mats on the wooden floor in the large central room on the third floor of the family home. After some standing practice, with Shi Gong just waving his finger, we all enjoyed 'spontaneous qigong" and then sat on our cushions. I was interested enough in the demonstrations to "peek a bit". I was directly in front of the altar with Yan Ping on my left and slightly behind me. Sifu, with Shi Gong's guidance, started with Yan Ping. He touched her mid-eyebrow point. Although she was slightly behind me, I could feel and see the force accumulating, and then she started to lift up slightly, rising perhaps 6-8 inches. It all seemed so natural. He approached me. The touch was blinding, and until Sifu Jiang performed a similar empowerment in jamnuary on Ko Samui, I had never experienced such an energy. Simply not electrical, simple as that. I also expereinced a sensation of lifting off the floor, just enough to relieve the weight on the sitting bones, and to give a feeling of levitation. Later, Sifu commented that he had been concerned that his power might not "come out" because it was so cold. It was Chinese New Year, and near freezing at night. It seemed odd to me that this power was so fickle. No doubt this was a special demonstration, and not everyday power. I asked Yan Ping about her experience, and she could not have been less surprised. No question it was not an area where it would be acceptable to dig for answers. Any understanding must wait. If you have questions, it's because the time for answers has not yet come. Any explanation would only lead you away from the true realization, not toward it. This is a constant theme with Luo Tzu.”

“I can tell you that as I mentioned in previous posts concerning David - he is a great teacher!

It is difficult here as the oxygen is thin - the average is 10.000 ft here! Woke up with headaches for a awhile...regardless - Shifu showed incredible feats!

One that was interesting was the setting on fire - of a tee shirt. We all gathered around a courtyard (mind you, this was a spontaneous event as even David is not sure what Shifu wants or feels like doing at times) to witness this. Shifu or David asked for a shirt by which one of the students gave off their back (if I remember correctly as the t-shirt did belong to one of the students) Shifu who had previously been utilizing his power for other items such as healing (by which later I will give a more in depth summary - found some personal problems) took the shirt and put it down on the ground with no nothing around it except the stone ground it was sitting on - at a distance of three to five feet away - proceeded to burn a huge hole in the shirt! The funny thing about this was although the shirt was clearly burned and was smoking - it did not actually catch fire.

When upon examination - it was found that the t-shirt was fire-retardant! The shirt was not supposed to burn at all! You might have seen the video where there is water that is sweetened by Shifu with his power? The very first day upon meeting with Shifu - the entire class was sitting there and Shifu showered all of us with his power - the result was that our very bodies became Sweet!! I was sucking on my fingers all day as they exuded an incredible sweetness - even after washing my hands they still maintained the sweetness!

As I mentioned - the air is thin here - a day or two after - I was climbing stairs and was out of breath - breathing heavily as I got to the top of the stairs I noticed that the very air coming up from within my body was incredibly sweet!”
